The designers at ISMV are always in search of excellent quality, beautifully designed furnishings, fabrics, lighting and hardware for their clients. Occasionally they find a product line that is such a perfect fit for their showroom that they’ll approach the company about representing their products on Martha’s Vineyard. Rocky Mountain Hardware is just such a company and has been making stunning handcrafted architectural hardware since 1994. The two companies have recently joined together to create an on island presence.

Peter Breese, the owner of both ISMV and Breese Architects, is very proud to be able to offer this line of products to not only his clients but to designers, builders and customers who want to use Rocky Mountain pieces for their projects and homes. “We’re very excited about this opportunity to display Rocky Mountain Hardware in our showroom. Now anyone can come in to see and touch the products. We’ve also discovered that, although many people are aware of the hardware line, they didn’t know that Rocky Mountain also creates lighting, sinks, faucets, tile and home accessories. Of course, we’ve chosen Rocky Mountain for several of our own projects but now we can offer them to anyone on island who is interested in these beautifully crafted, timeless products,” explained Breese.

Rocky Mountain Hardware produces simple, honest lines that are handcrafted from sand-cast bronze. Their pieces are graceful to the eye and they mellow naturally over time into a rich glowing patina. They strive for excellence in every piece, every time.

Liz Stiving-Nichols and Kristen Ellsworth, the designers at ISMV are always happy to have people visit the showroom and studio located  at 7 Beach Street in Vineyard Haven where you can see samples of Rocky Mountain Hardware as well as an interesting and unique collection of furniture, rugs, fabrics and home accessories.

Interiors Studio Martha’s Vineyard (ISMV) has added the exquisitely hand crafted rugs from Marc Phillips Decorative Rugs to it’s Martha’s Vineyard showroom. ISMV is always searching for pieces that enhance and complement their designs and these beautiful rugs are a great part of their product line.

“Marc Phillips use of sustainable, natural fibers like banana silk, wool and bamboo in their rugs is a perfect match for my design philosophy. I strive to create environments which reflect the beauty of the natural world using materials and processes that help to preserve and sustain it,” explains Liz Stiving Nichols, Lead Designer at ISMV, “I recently used one of their rugs in a Master Bedroom design which also featured an accent wall covered in wallpaper fabricated from bark. The soft palette and organic forms in both the wallpaper and the Marc Phillips rug worked together perfectly. The rug added just the right touch of luxury to the room”.

Each Marc Phillips rug is inspired by many sources from the contemporary style of today’s fashion industry, to patterns and colors updated from old world techniques. Garnering influences from traditional methods, nature and current trends, their rugs are multifaceted works of art. Their fresh and inventive use of color, texture and material offers unique, superior quality products that have tremendous appeal for the clientele of this high end interior design company. Their collection can be viewed online at www.marcphillipsrugs.com/
